The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has released its Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Blitz Inspection Schedule. As a truck driver, take these dates into consideration and be prepared! Events scheduled in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
2025 CVSA CMV Blitz Schedule
International Roadcheck | May 13–15, 2025
International Roadcheck is a compliance, enforcement, and educational initiative that is described by the CVSA website as the “largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world.” Within 72 hours, at least 15 trucks and motor coaches will be inspected every minute.

Operation Safe Driver Week | July 13–19, 2025
This is a yearly, one-week enforcement and educational campaign targets unsafe driving by passenger and commercial vehicle drivers. During Operation Safe Driver Week, law enforcement personnel will be on the lookout for commercial motor vehicle drivers and passenger vehicle drivers engaging in risky driving. Identified unsafe drivers will be pulled over and issued a citation or warning.
Brake Safety Week | August 24–30, 2025
During Brake Safety Week, CMV inspectors conduct brake system inspections (primarily Level IV Inspections) on large trucks and buses throughout North America to identify brake-system violations.
Brake Safety Day | Any day in 2025
Be ready anytime during 2025 for CVSA’s Brake Safety Day. There will be an unannounced one-day brake safety enforcement initiative, which may be held at any time.

In our world, we have a lot to prepare for, and not just these safety inspections. You prepare to live on the road for weeks or months at a time, planning your loads to fit your schedule, while still being available for your family. Your truck is where you “live” for most of your career, but isn’t your home. So it is with this earth. We live here for now, but we were made for so much more. This world is not our home, heaven is. “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Philippians 3:20-21 (NIV)
