The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has released its Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Blitz Inspection Schedule. As a truck driver, take these dates into consideration and be prepared!
Planned CVSA Blitz days
International Roadcheck | May 14–16, 2024
International Roadcheck is a compliance, enforcement, and educational initiative that is described by the CVSA website as the “largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world.” Within 72 hours, at least 15 trucks and motor coaches will be inspected every minute.
Operation Safe Driver Week | July 7–13, 2024
This yearly, one-week enforcement and educational campaign targets unsafe driving by passenger and commercial vehicle drivers. The goal is to reduce “unsafe driver behaviors by educating all drivers about ways to share the roads safely.”
Brake Safety Week | August 25–31, 2024
During Brake Safety Week, CMV inspectors conduct brake system inspections (primarily Level IV Inspections) on large trucks and buses throughout North America to identify brake-system violations.
Brake Safety Day | Any day in 2024
Be ready anytime during 2024 for CVSA’s Brake Safety Day. It will be unannounced during the calendar year 2024, which means all Motor Carriers should be consistently prepared.
