The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has released its Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Blitz Inspection Schedule. As a truck driver, take these dates into consideration and be prepared! FMCSA Proposes to Remove more than 15,700 Medical Examiners from National Registry for Noncompliance

According to the Federal Register proposal, medical examiners (ME’s) who failed to login to their federal account and update all information by February 23, 2024, should be removed from the National Registry. Since June 2018, FMCSA attempted to notify all MEs on the Federal Registry, through email, physical mailings, and phone calls, about the requirement to either access their account or create a login to login.gov and update all relevant information. FMCSA UPDATES: Are you an Employee or an Independent Contractor?

Effective March 11, 2024, the FMCSA’s final rule will rescind the Independent Contractor Status Under the Fair Labor Standards Act rule (2021 IC Rule) and replace it with an updated analysis for determining employee or independent contractor status that is more consistent with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) — as interpreted by longstanding judicial precedent. New FMCSA Regulations: Financial Responsibility of a Property Broker and Freight Forwarder

The FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) revised its regulations about the financial responsibility of a property broker and freight forwarder.
